Owen

Owen's teacher from this past school year sent me these pictures and looking through them all made me really stop and think about my little Owen. Owen is Owen. He is his own breed. There is nothing that can push him into something. He is fierce. He fights will full conviction and can throw a tantrum like no other. He is beyond loving to his little sister and has more passion in his little body than I see in most adults these days. He cares when there is something to really care about. He gives the best hugs and when those kisses hit my cheek out of no where it about does my heart in.
He has grown in strides over these last handful of months. I mean HUGE strides. Emotionally and Physically. He is able to talk and communicate much better which really helps cut down on the tantrums. He still fights pretty hard for what he wants but can negotiate like a boss. It's hard to say no to his negotiations at times. :)
I'll be honest, he isn't friendly to everyone but he deeply loves his little pack of friends. He cares for them and always talks about them. I love that side of him. I love how he has to snuggle with me when he wakes up from naps. I love that we have to sing "Rock A Bye" every night but in our special way. I love how smart he is. Oh so smart. He is catching things that June never did at his age. He's so aware and alert.
I love this little boy with every ounce of energy I have. Don't get me wrong, he has truly done me in more than once and I sometimes feel like I am the worst mother in the world when it comes to him. But I can't deny how much this little boy has my heart. No matter how angry he makes me, he can cool me down with one of his jokes. It's only getting better with him. Night terrors and all.
