Canada 2019

Our tradition continued on with driving up to Canada and spending time with Dan's family.

It was great timing because we got to be up there for our nieces baptism. Kate and I were having fun with photo filters while we waited for the baptism to start.

Of course  I had fun doing yoga all around the small little town of Crossfield

We swam at the rec center one afternoon. The kids always have so much fun swimming with cousins.

When coming home one day we saw a rainbow and a smidge of a double rainbow. They just never get old.

Church on Sunday and all the shenanigans

Sunday afternoon we went for a beautiful hike up in the Canadian Rockies. It was small but we hiked up to Troll Falls. It was so much fun!

We got to see a mama bear and her two cubs! It was crazy and cool and scary all at the time.

She is growing up so much right before my eyes. She's becoming such a little girl. So helpful, so kind and I can't believe that she is mine.

This little crew of mine is my very favorite!

Such an adventure with this little spirit!

My little Go-Go's. He has gotten so big and has changed so much over the summer.

Our amazing Aunt Jess got all the boys Nerf Guns and the boys had a blast shooting off soda cans and of course shooting each other.

There is a skate park in walking distance from Dan's parents house and the kids had a really fun time riding and running up and down the ramps.

There was a lot of  bonding cousin time with the switches!

And strong girl bonding with nail salon!

Us adults were able to sneak out one afternoon and go do a couple of escape rooms! We had a lot of fun! We always enjoy doing them with family!

Sweet Cousins

And just like that we had to say goodbye and then headed back to Idaho for another week of adventure!

We always love our time in Canada and as much as Dan says America is home now, there will always be a special place for Canada in his heart. I just see it in his eyes every time he goes home to visit. It makes my heart happy.

Rexburg & Fourth of July (Round One)

Our annual road trip to Idaho & Canada was fantastic! I always love this road trip and all the time that we get time we get to spend with family. It's great!

As usual I made the drive by myself with the kiddos and we did our usual stops at the hotels. Our first stop is in Salina Kansas. We love this hotel, we know the area well and what to expect.

As soon as we get to the hotel we head straight for the pool to burn off some much needed energy after sitting in the car for so long.

All cleaned up, full bellies and ready for bed. They love the hotel life.

Our second day of travel is always our longest day. Its about 9 hours of driving, but we have our stops and the kids did fantastic!! We stopped at our usual park/gas station and got our gorilla pictures for the year.

We stopped in Wyoming for the night and did the exact same thing. We swim, eat pizza and call it a night. We've got this down to an art skill.

The last day of our drive we have about 8 hours left. And it's basically nothing but dessert. We stopped at the gas station to load up on snacks!

The kids got these giant ice cream sandwiches to eat outside and as we walked out it started to pour rain, so we ate them in the car. Of course creating a giant mess!

The last couple of hours we hit bizarre traffic and it took us so much longer! We were all getting antsy to get out of the car.

My snack chair. Hahaha

The sky was so beautiful!! Those clouds were amazing to watch move in the wind.

We FINALLY made it to Idaho with open arms from my parents and it felt so good to be in one place for longer than a night.

The night we arrived I ran into some of our dear friends from Canada. Brady (Dan's best friend) was up visiting idaho with his wife. It was so great to see them. I sent this picture to Dan. He was sooooo jealous!

In Rexburg you gotta prep for the parade like days in advance. It's crazy but my dad and I took care of business. It's kinda become our little tradition. Haha We go stake out spots. I pretend to be some weird spy and my dad always tells me to calm down. hahahahaha

But he wears a head lamp so I feel the weirdness is equal.

My parents candy drawer is literally thee best candy drawer. All the things!! It's the best and it's why I have a candy drawer in my house and it's why I feel every house should have a candy drawer in their  home.

Dan flew in on the 3rd of July! We are always so happy when Daddy gets there!

The next day was the parade! Thanks to my dad and I we had the perfect spot! It was so much fun being with cousins and celebrating America's Independence! We always love this tradition and we hope it continues on!

That night we braved the crowds and headed down to the Melaleuca Fire work show. It was a lot of fun and crazy! Dealing with all the people can always be stress but it's totally worth it seeing my babies happy and seeing such an incredible fire work show!

That next morning, we woke up about 4am and headed to Canada! 12 hours that turn to 14...
Onto the next blog post!
