March and All It's Glory

Oh March. What a month you have been to us.

It's been rough. Like this whole month. Just so rough.

Kate became sick and it took her down really hard. The first couple of days were vomit, fever and it just in constant pain. She refused to eat or drink or take any medicine. It got scary. Then it got worse because I then caught it too. I will say I've never felt more awful. It was so hard having such a sick little one and being sick on top of it. A couple of days went by when I was so out of it, Dan had to tell me everything that was going on because I just couldn't function. He said I would be drenched in sweat but acting like I was freezing at the same time. I just remember the body aches and wanting to do nothing but sit in the tub or lay in bed.

Kate became even more sick but thankfully I started feeling better. It hit Kate MUCH MUCH worse than it hit me. We texted our pediatrician and told Kate's symptoms and how we couldn't control her fever or her vomiting, so she told us we needed to get Kate to a doctor ASAP. They took chest x-rays and all the glorious things.

We finally got Kate home and settled and then I fell back asleep with Kate. We slept and slept and slept. Dan truly handled everything! He took a few days off of work, got kids to school and managed the house. Of course he was a boss at staying home. Our house was cleaner than ever! I love him dearly for it!

Kate still wasn't feeling better so we ended up taking her to our actual doctor and everything was still ok, she was just still sick with FLU B. It was just taking her a long time to get over it.

At church Dan took Owen and June while Kate and I stayed home. He sent me this picture. Our friends surrounding my family. I'm so grateful for them and that they took care of our family too! Bringing us dinner and playing with our other kids while Kate and I rested. We have a good thing going over here with our gang.

I started feeling good enough to leave the house and I'm so glad I was because that week was NERF WARS with Owen. His first one as a kindergartner. I'll be honest I was crazy tired and even moving around like that wore me down to my core, but I would have not missed this chance with my little man! We had such a fun time!

Two weeks later, all through spring break, Kate and I still felt like we were trying to get our energy back. It was awful, I had no energy to workout, or let alone do my day to day things. I was just exhausted and little Kate slowly started getting perked back up. We finally got to play at the park and it felt so good!!

After that we had spring break, We did movies, we swam and enjoyed the week off with our kids. Little did we know that we were about to have a whole lot more family time together!!

CORONAVIRUS TOOK OVER!

February Randoms

February started off fantastic!

It started off with a haircut by Dan. I loath getting my haircut by people. I just really hate the small chat, the amount of money it costs and I just don't like it. Like at all. But obviously I need to get my hair cut sometimes, so Dan took it upon himself to cut it. He took a solid two inches off and he did a fantastic job.

June was chosen to present at EXPO this year at our high school. She was so excited to be chosen and she did a fantastic job presenting!! We were so proud of her!

One day at the store I was crazy distracted and on the phone with my sister. Kate put something in the cart, wasn't paying attention. Then we got to checkout and I was still on the phone. I checked out and went home. When I was unloading my groceries I found a box of bird seed. Hahahaha I didn't even know I bought it!!! SO funny!!

One Saturday in February it snowed and the kids were loving it. We built this tiny tiny tiny little snowman.

Owen finished up his basketball season and he truly fell in love with the sport. He was so sad it was over and can't wait to play again next year. It was fun watching him progress and get better each practice and game.

One of Owen's little buddies, Walker were on the same team. So fun!

June and Dan had the annual Daddy/Daughter dance. This is their third one at Cox Elementary! June always looks forward to getting all dressed up. Dan took her to dinner before with some of our fiends and their little girls. (FabFive)

After the dance, the girls got together to watch a movie and have a late over. The girls had a blast!!

Owen's teacher sent this to me one day. Owen has such good little friends at school and we are so grateful for his teacher who sends us pictures like this!

My parents/family Dog Izzi passed away. It was incredibly sad. I was really close to that puppy all through college and even moving away. It was sad to say goodbye. My parents sent us some of Izzi's old toys for Ranger to play with. It was a sweet thought. We love Izzi a whole lot and we are sad she is gone.

Just one random Sunday night playing

Valentines Day! We celebrated with the kids and then Dan and I had our own date night!

Dan surprised me and got me a magnolia tree! They are thee most beautiful tree's and moving to Texas made me fall so in love with them. I am so excited for it to bloom their beautiful white flowers!!

Snuggles with my favorite snuggle bug

June was in the school talent show and this year she did it with one of her friends, Eliza. They sand "A Whole New World". June sang and Eliza played the piano. They did a fantastic job!

Cado and Kate. Two peas in a pod.

We have season tickets to Six Flags this year and it has been so fun to go. Our last trip we took we went with our fiends and their kids and had so much fun. Then all of the sudden Kate started not feeling well and fell asleep in my arms. Who knew that starting that day would be thee longest two weeks of being sick! More on that later.

And there we have it. February Randoms. Life starts to get weird real quick  in March!

Utah Ski Trip

Skiing was life growing up and I want my kids to experience that same love and joy I had wit skiing. So this year, I felt June was old enough to experience the mountain life. So we planned a weekend to play in the snow and get June on her first set of skis. It honestly was a blast!!!

Flying there is always fun with June. She loves to fly, watch movies and is just a great little travel buddy.

The Cisneros fam came and picked us up from the airport and we went and stayed at their house Thursday night. We went and had great Sushi and just chatted the night away.

The next day we went and got fitted for ski's, had lunch and shopped for a while until it was time to start packing up and head up to Park City.

We headed up to Park City that night and met up with my parents and my sister Brookie. It was so much fun. We went and explored the small town, ate the night away and got to play in the snow. June was in heaven with sledding and just experiencing a bunch of snow. It made both our hearts happy.

My sister, Michelle was celebrating her birthday that following Monday so we got to have a little birthday party for her.

That next day it was time to head up the mountain. We skied Canyon side of Park City. All of us girls had matching socks!

Once we got settled on the mountain, we hit the slopes and never looked back. We took June on her first few runs on the bunny hill.

It needs to be documented that we went down black diamonds and almost died. It was so steep and we hit many trees. It took us forever to get down the mountain. HAHAHAHAHA

My Brother in Law, Cam has actually taught ski school before and ended up teaching June. He took her on the ski lift and everything and made her a pro by the end of the day. I truly didn't do a thing to teach that girl to ski. She did so so so awesome! She learned so fast and by the end of the day I couldn't get her off the mountain. She had a blast!!

My dad was paying attention watching June and he all of the sudden turned around and crashed into the sign knocking it completely out of the ground. It was so funny, he was ok!

Legit the sign that was at the top of the mountain before we headed down. It was a steep mountain.

At the end of the day we were exhausted but it was SUCH A GREAT DAY!!!!!

That night we headed back to Salt Lake and got a hotel for the night. We swam and watched a movie, then called it a night.

June and I headed to the airport the next morning and before we could blink we were home. The trip went so fast but it was a blast and we can't wait to go back next year!!
