September Randoms

September was hot, fun and back to school FULL SWING!

When Dan goes out of town I get bored real quick. And well, we talked about one day doing floors in our bedroom.... I had the brilliant idea to get rid of the carpet and almost force Dan into doing the floors. I dunno it sounded like a good idea at the time. Hahahaha 

For the record. I took our ENTIRE ROOM apart all on my own. Bed, ALL THE BED! like mattress, frame and everything else. I took it all out and put it in my yoga room. 

Before I moved the bed out I took a picture for reference. 

We ordered our flooring, We decided to just stay with the same flooring we did in our closet. Dan legit is AMAZING and did 90 percent of the work, but I helped too! 

The last round was the hardest and Dan was getting so angry. I just tried to stay positive!

This very last strip was the hardest for sure! It took Dan just as long to do that part as it did basically the whole rest of the floor. He was done!

My grandpa was in town visiting my Uncle Tom, so they made the drive up to Dallas and I got to have breakfast with them! I brought June along for good measure! 

Little Kate had Bring your friend to dance class day! And Charolette is definitely her little best friend! They were so cute together! 

One night we headed to a baseball game. This is the last season the Rangers were playing at their old ball park so we wanted to get the kids in one last time. We went with some of our besties and the kids had a blast!

Owen finished up his soccer this season. We don't know if he will play next season. He is wanting to try baseball with his friends. So we will see how that goes.

And there we have September! So crazy with how fast this year has gone! Slow down!!! 

Dan's Birthday

Happy Birthday to our main man of the house! 

The day of his birthday was a small celebration with the kids. He was in Wyoming all week and arrived home on his actual birthday! 

We had fun celebrating him and spoiling him. We then partied with the gang that weekend!

 We actually had two birthdays, Dan and Aaron so we partied extra hard. We played Laser tag, rock climbed and had fun playing in the arcade. 

 Dinner was at Five Guys (Dan's Choice) and then we headed back to our house for birthday cake and corn hole. We had a blast celebrating these two dudes! 

August Randoms

August came and went just like the rest of summer and before we knew it school started.

June started 2nd Grade 

 Owen made his big debut at Cox Elementary! It is crazy that we two in elementary school! 

We take them to school in the morning but in the afternoon they ride the bus. It has been super successful and the kids really like riding the bus with their friends but still not have to wake up too crazy early to get to school! 

This year Kate started dance with June. They were so cute wearing their matching leotards. 

Owen started his season of soccer with the Jetts! This will be his fourth season! 

With the kids starting school, Kate and I have a lot more time just us two and I try to make the most of it when we can. Kate didn't start school for another week after the kids started. So we took the time to go visit the zoo. Kate has been wanting to go to the zoo so badly so we went! 

It honestly was such a fun little day with her. It was just me and her and it was great. I went at her pace and we did all the things that she wanted to do. We really had a blast!

It was then officially time for Kate to start her second year of preschool at St. Peters. She is now in the blue room and goes two days a week. 

Of course in August the weather is still crazy hot so after shchool we always head up to the pool with friends. Walker and Kate were so cute together just floating around on this inner-tube 

The end of August my nephew had his mission farewell in Utah, so I left the kiddos with Dan and babysitters and flew to Utah for the weekend. 

Brookie and I went and did a fun hike up Bridal Falls. My sister took me up these crazy steep trails to get up to the top of the waterfalls. It was crazy but so fun! 

We also went golfing with the fam. I don't golf but I do love making fun of them and driving the cart, so it was fun!

Sunday my nephew had his farewell and then we had a luncheon after. It was then time to head to the airport. 

Sweet little Kate wanted to go to school one day but it wasn't't her day to go and she got all sad. So we pretend it was a school day and she wore her backpack all over while we ran errands. 

Reading stories while we waited for the kids to get off the bus. 

August was a good month. At the end of it, it felt good to start getting into some structure and start getting into a better routine with the kids.
