March and All It's Glory

Oh March. What a month you have been to us.

It's been rough. Like this whole month. Just so rough.

Kate became sick and it took her down really hard. The first couple of days were vomit, fever and it just in constant pain. She refused to eat or drink or take any medicine. It got scary. Then it got worse because I then caught it too. I will say I've never felt more awful. It was so hard having such a sick little one and being sick on top of it. A couple of days went by when I was so out of it, Dan had to tell me everything that was going on because I just couldn't function. He said I would be drenched in sweat but acting like I was freezing at the same time. I just remember the body aches and wanting to do nothing but sit in the tub or lay in bed.

Kate became even more sick but thankfully I started feeling better. It hit Kate MUCH MUCH worse than it hit me. We texted our pediatrician and told Kate's symptoms and how we couldn't control her fever or her vomiting, so she told us we needed to get Kate to a doctor ASAP. They took chest x-rays and all the glorious things.

We finally got Kate home and settled and then I fell back asleep with Kate. We slept and slept and slept. Dan truly handled everything! He took a few days off of work, got kids to school and managed the house. Of course he was a boss at staying home. Our house was cleaner than ever! I love him dearly for it!

Kate still wasn't feeling better so we ended up taking her to our actual doctor and everything was still ok, she was just still sick with FLU B. It was just taking her a long time to get over it.

At church Dan took Owen and June while Kate and I stayed home. He sent me this picture. Our friends surrounding my family. I'm so grateful for them and that they took care of our family too! Bringing us dinner and playing with our other kids while Kate and I rested. We have a good thing going over here with our gang.

I started feeling good enough to leave the house and I'm so glad I was because that week was NERF WARS with Owen. His first one as a kindergartner. I'll be honest I was crazy tired and even moving around like that wore me down to my core, but I would have not missed this chance with my little man! We had such a fun time!

Two weeks later, all through spring break, Kate and I still felt like we were trying to get our energy back. It was awful, I had no energy to workout, or let alone do my day to day things. I was just exhausted and little Kate slowly started getting perked back up. We finally got to play at the park and it felt so good!!

After that we had spring break, We did movies, we swam and enjoyed the week off with our kids. Little did we know that we were about to have a whole lot more family time together!!

CORONAVIRUS TOOK OVER!
