Kate at 7 Months

Dear Kate, Kater, Kateorade, chub-chubs, sweets,

um, you are kind of the greatest baby and we are so in love with you. Seven months snuck up on us and each month gets more fun but also goes too quickly. I'm trying so hard to enjoy every little moment of you, holding you a little longer before naps and bed, breathing in that baby smell a little deeper and just trying to not let the moments slip by each day. It just goes too fast. 

You are growing and growing and what a little chunk you are. You are starting to wear 9-12 month clothes and are still in size 4 diapers. It's getting harder to hold you, but my arms can ache all they want. I am holding you and spoiling you all I want. pm. Then you don't go to bed until 8pm. It's weird but its working and it means we can get out of the house in the morning. Or if we are having an at home day, you get a little morning snooze. You aren't sleeping through the night yet, mostly because we haven't really put an effort into it. You are sleeping in your crib and sharing a room with June. We most likely will get you settled at night once we get back from our trip. But for now you are doing just fine, and I'm not dying with lack of sleep, so its good. 

You eat like a champ. You are nursing off of me still and starting to take formula. I just can't keep up with you as much. You have also started solids!! You like most things, except carrots and peaches. Carrots give you bad gas and make it hard for you to poop. Peaches just make that cute little face of your pucker. Haha You do love sweet potatoes and squash, plus pears. Those are your go to. We give you little bites here and there of more solid foods, but you don't have any teeth yet, so we are keeping the chomping to a minimum.

Right now Kate you are on a weird schedule. It's funny because you are kind of on two schedules depending on the day. If you go down for a nap at 10am, you wake up around 11am and then go back down at around 2pm. If you don't get your 10am nap, like when I'm at the gym, then you take a nap around 1pm and sleep basically until 5

You love to chew on blankets. Most of the time you spit your pacifier out and suck on your blankets to sooth yourself to sleep. Just like your brother. You love sucking on anything cloth. Everything around you is exciting. You are sitting up pretty good on your own now and are constantly rolling over and getting so mad when you can't flip back over to you back. Owen loves to come and help you out when you get mad. He just rolls you right back over. 

June just loves you and feeds you all the time. She helps so much with you and simply adores you. I'm curious to see how your relationship pans out. For now, she thinks you are her best friend. 

Kater, you are simply a delight and I love you so much. I can't give you enough hugs and kisses and I just want to love on you all the time.
