Occupying My Time

Dan only has 4 weeks left in Oklahoma at Sandridge! Now they always say the last stretch is the hardest, and who ever "they" are, well their right. The weeks go by so slow and the weekends Dan is home go by way to fast. But I am hangin in there, just counting down the days until I will finally get to have him home. I am starting to forget what its like to have him next to me on a Tuesday. No there is nothing special about Tuesdays, just an ordinary day. I just miss him.
Having Dan gone is hard, but luckily I have great friends who let me tag along and be the 5th wheel. Ya its a great feeling sitting at your own table at "5 Guys" and sitting in the middle with the couples on either side of me. ha ha
I do love my friends and I am so so grateful for them! TRULY!!
So Monday night for Family Home Evening we went to dinner obviously at "5 Guys" and went to a movie. "Despicable Me"
As everyone finished paying I stepped up to pay, and said one please.
The Lady said "Do you have your student ID"
I said "Oh no I don't go to Baylor, just regular price"
She said "Well your high school ID will work too, if you want to use that."
I said "Um I graduated high school 5 years ago, and have been out of college for a year."
She looked at my and said ok, and gave me my ticket, but she gave me a weird look, to be honest I don't think that she believed me, but oh well. Hopefully my youthfulness looking will stay with me forever!!

All in all it was a great night and I had loads of fun. I absolutely missed Dan, its amazing how much you rely on someone even just going to a movie.

4 MORE WEEKS!!

Spreading the Word!

I feel like I need to help somehow, and the best thing I know to do is spread the word about The Sullengers. Pat and Ashley Sullenger are from Rexburg Idaho and have a little girl named Preslee who fell into a Canal last Friday night, and was found 2 miles down from where she fell in. She is at Primary Children's hospital in critical condition, and is still fighting! I feel so helpless reading their blog and not being able to do more besides pray for them. So I am trying to spread the word out as much as possible. Please pray and if you can donate to the Sullengers. I know many of you who read my blog know them and are close to them and I am sure you are doing all you can but even if they are total strangers to you please pray for them and their daughter Preslee. I really just want to help anyway that I can. Here are the links that you can go to for more information!

God Bless AMERICA

Did you know that when Dan proposed to me, I randomly busted out singing God Bless America. And the weirdness still continues for Lesli Lancaster.

The 4th of July is always so much fun! Its seriously one of my Favorite Holidays. I feel so proud to be an American! Sunday 4th of Julys are a little tougher. No swimming or snow shacks, but it was still so much fun.

My celebration started on Friday, when Dan came home, even earlier then expected. (Thank you Sandridge for letting him leave early!)

On Saturday we did a little shopping, and my parents came Saturday night. they are here for an EFY in San Antonio. They are the session directors and this year it was Texas! What are the odds they would do an EFY in Texas this year! AWESOMENESS! So we had dinner on the Brazos river and played games, with some party mix. Good times.

Sunday we woke up, Dan had to go early because of meetings, so me and my parents headed to church. My parents took off and we started our fourth of July festivities......

With a Nap!
We had a BBQ with the usual gang and spent most of the day talking and laughing. It was so fun. Then that night, Dan, me, Jeff and Krista headed to the Waco Fireworks. I was a little hesitant because I was thinking waco would be a little weak, but it actually was pretty good. It was super fun! and I can't wait for next year.

Dan and I on the shuttle heading over to Cameron Park

Friends! along with some sexy people in the background

Then there is this guy. My little Ranger! He is getting so big, and I couldn't imagine not having him. This is about as big as he will get. He really hated the fireworks so luckily we left him home for the big ones.
He's a great preparation for kids

Just lounging around. Ah I love this little Guy!

To my Canadian

Today is Canada's Independence day. I love Canada simply because the most amazing man came from this Native Land.

Dan is so proud of his Country, and I love him for it. Though he lives here in America, he will always be a Canadian at heart!

This is the Canadian National Anthem.
Listen to it!
They actually have a pretty cool Anthem.

Also Here are some cool Facts about Canada, that you may have not known.

1. Canadians Call their Police officers Mounties. Stands for Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

2. Smarties are actually candied coated chocolate, like our m&m's

3. Free health Care for everybody! I think I will go to Canada to have my children

4. The Country is Ran by a Prime Minister, Not a President

5. Their national Language is French

6. Canadians LOVE their Hockey!

7. They have Ketchup Chips! Very Delicious

8. Their Chocolate is A LOT better then Americas

9. Canadians consume more Mac & Cheese than any other Country in the world

10. Very Very Sexy Men come from Canada. (Sorry Americans, No Comparison!)

HAPPY CANADA DAY!
