July Randoms

July was an intense month for us. I can't even begin to explain how much of a blur it was and how we pretty much lived moment to moment. It was crazy busy.

The 4th of July was pretty much an oversight for us. We were so so so busy packing and prepping to move that we did the bare minimum to celebrate. I felt a little bad but it just happened.

Completely last minute we decided to take the kids to the parade. We felt like we should celebrate a little bit.

We went and got our traditional donuts and Kolache's for breakfast after the parade.
We had some poppers and little fireworks that we played with that day.

And we of course swam. It was our last official swim in the pool before the move.

That night we didn't even go see fireworks. We were so lame this year. I really did feel bad about it, but we literally had to be out of our house in two days and had so much to do.

Our house consisted of hand me down furniture and Ikea. It lasted us through the house and some of that furniture even longer, but with a brand new house we wanted new furniture. So out with the old. I sent this to my parents thanking them for those blue leather couches that saved us through our college years and survived multiple moves. It was a bit sad to see them go.

More moving. I felt July was nothing but moving. It was exhausting!

We hired movers and thank goodness we did. With how everything worked out there would not have been time for us to move it all.

Owen and Kate have loved the windows since moving in. I find them there all the time. On the couch of course.

Funny story. We put Kate into nursery thinking this whole time that she was 18 months. Low and behold she didn't turn 18 months until the next month! A complete stranger had to tell me that! Bahahahaha We didn't tell our ward that though and just had Kate continue going to nursery. She is now over 18 months and rocking nursery.

One day Owen was playing on the couch and next thing I know, I looked over and he is fast asleep on the couch. Sometimes I really feel like that kid still needs naps but he fights them so hard!

We purchased a little splash pool for the backyard. It clearly doesn't match our other pool but the kids have been enjoying it.

The two oldest had the dental check-ups. They love the movie theater. Everyone is healthy with their teeth. Next appointment Kate will be involved! EEK!

My sweet little Kate and her Chick Fil A cookie.

We have loved our community pool. It's right up the trail from us so we can walk there super easily. It's a great splash pad for Kate but a fun pool for us swimmers. Win all around.

I saw this giant spider outside our garage! It was soooooo big! The picture doesn't even do it justice!

New doorbell testers

More days at the pool

Owen comes and crawls into bed with us most mornings. Most early mornings and then falls back asleep. He is such a good snuggler though and doesn't move! So we don't mind.

Costco for dinner

The day after we returned from Rexburg, we had Adam come for the weekend. It was a lot of fun! We didn't take a whole lot of pictures but it was a great weekend. The boys stayed busy with movies and concerts. They went to warp tour (The whole reason Adam came) and lived young and free.
The last night Adam was here we went down to Billy Bobs and walked around.
Riding the long horn.

I forgot my drivers license and the guy wouldn't let me in, so he went and got his manager and in order for me to enter Billy Bob's They had to put these giant X's on both my hands to mark that I wasn't allowed to drink. Because I drink so much anyways! :)

We went and watched the bull riders. I grew up watching bull riding. I had friends who rode them in rodeos so we were always going to shows, but I totally forgot how fun and scary it is! We had a good time!

I taught the young women in our ward yoga for mutual one night. It was so fun and we had some good laughs with poses I had them try! It was great!

If we don't go up to the community pool than we spend it in our backyard with the hose, trampoline and the small kiddie pool. Honestly the kids spend more time back there than they do at the pool. They love it!

The hose and this cup kept Kate entertained for seriously an hour. She was LOVING it! She splashing herself in the face so many times and then would giggle. She is such my little water baby.

July was a whirlwind. A fun and crazy whirlwind but I'm glad its finally starting to slow down. I'm really looking froward to getting school started and for a more scheduled routine.
July reminded me of how much I love the calm. Haha
