Christmas Time

Christmas Break was a good one where we just stayed home and enjoyed all of our Christmas traditions!
Christmas Eve we got all ready for our Dinner that night.
We of course made our traditional Pin Wheel.

Playing and taking silly selfies together.

Our special Christmas dinner is always on Christmas Eve. We did things a bit different this year and I think it's going to be  a tradition we stick with. We each picked our favorite food and made a meal out of it that way. We had stake, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese and lots of other yummy fixings.

Our dinner was by candle light and it took all the kids energy to not blow out the candles. Haha it was funny.

After dinner, we cleaned up and got ready for our usual Christmas Eve traditions.
Including our Christmas Pajamas.

And our reading of Luke 2. It was fun having June read some of it.

We also let the kids act out The Nativity. They were laughing so hard that they could hardly act it out.

We left our stockings out, left pinwheel and milk for Santa and all got ready for bed. The kids watched a Christmas movie and then tried to go get some sleep. I was surprised that they actually fell asleep so fast.

We then got to work on Christmas!

Working on the Doll House

In the end it took Dan ( I just watched hahahaha) about 2.5 hours. So not too bad.

We got everything set up and headed to bed around midnight! We actually did pretty good!

The next morning, the kids slept in until about 7. They did really good! We were all so excited to go out and see what Santa had left us!

Kate got a giant doll house

Owen got a Nintendo DS

June got a camera

It was then time to open presents! We sorted through them all and took turns each opening our presents!

My most favorite Christmas gift was from Owen, where he used an entire roll of scotch tape to wrap his present to me. I mean the whole thing was covered in tape. It made me extremely happy.

Inside was a drawing of our family and I loved it so so so much!

I spry Kate

The rest of the day was spent with the kids, playing with our toys, remembering Christ & just being with our little family. I love Christmas. It is always so special but each year is special in it's own way! Can't wait for the next Christmas!
