Lancaster Visit

Dan's parents did the ultimate road trip and drove from Calgary, Alberta all the way to Dallas Texas!
They actually made a vacation on their way here. Stopping and seeing a lot of different places and LDS Temples. We were very happy that Dallas Texas was one of their stops! Haha

They arrived on Thursday and after getting settled in they came over to the house right before putting the kids to bed. The kids were so excited to have Grandma and Grandpa there! It was hard for them to go to sleep that night. Once they were asleep, us adults stayed up and chatted the night away!

On Friday we met up mid morning when Dan got off of work!
Grandma and Grandpa brought the kids little surprises from Canada plus all the amazing Canadian Chocolate that we love so much!

We went and had lunch at Chick-Fil-A and then headed out to Roanoke to look at the house!

It was so fun showing them around. Our first house guests! Ha!

June was so cute sitting on that ladder debating which room is going to be hers.

Up on the second level, Dan explaining something! But we totally have a second level!! It's all just so exciting!

We drove around for a bit and showed them our little town and then headed back to the house for some down time. Kate was literally obsessed with Grandpa this trip. She would chase him down and beg for him to hold her. It was cute. They became best buds super quick.

Friday evening we just played with the kids, had dinner and then chatted the night away some more.

Saturday morning the girls went to get pedicures while the boys went to look for Greg a new guitar.
June LOVES pedicures!! She was beyond thrilled when she found out we were going!

Her happy little face just grinning at Grandma!

After pedicures and guitar shopping we went back to the house, pounded some Smash Burger and spent the rest of the afternoon at home and jammin' with grandpa's new guitar. And for record keeping, Greg is totally in a band! Like they actually play in shows and stuff! SO LEGIT!

Sunday we played in the morning and headed to church in the afternoon. Sunday's are always so insane for me, so it was nice to come home and enjoy the rest of the day with family.
Greg and Brenda were leaving that next morning, so we chit chatted some more and then called it a night.
It was funny because they were saying goodbye to us but they hadn't even hit their half way mark of their vacation yet!

It was a fun visit! We enjoyed their company, the kids were ecstatic to have them here and it was fun catching up on all sorts of things!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Lancaster for driving to see us!!
