I only blame myself for the cause of June's anti clothes phase. When you have a backyard with a pool and no one being able to see us, June swims in her birthday suit more often than in her swim suit. Really, I actually have no problem with that. Swim suits are annoying to get on and off, and those of you who have potty trained little ones, know the frustration of trying to get off a wet swim suit in time. Also it's not planned when we will get into the pool, and sometimes we will be back there playing and June will decide she wants to get in. So she just strips down and swims naked. Again not a problem. HOWEVER that nakedness has grown into a fiasco of NEVER wanting to put clothes on. Ever.
It slowly started with just putting panties on until we would go swim that morning, or after swimming we would just have her in panties for dinner before the bath. No sense in getting dressed just to get undressed. It has now turned into no clothes any of the time. We will walk in the door and she will be stripping down. We are late to play dates, appointments or activities because it takes all of my bribing power ability just to get her into something. Anything. The one Item of clothing she chooses to wear are her comfy shorts and the little undershirt tank tops. That's it. It's a battle and most days I lose. I have been mostly open minded with it due to the fact that it is summer, and its hot, but with summer slowly but surely coming to an end, I'm hoping this little nude phase ends and we can get back into clothes..... or preschool will be pretty interesting!
