Ever since June came home with a fair ticket in her folder she has been begging to go to the fair. Our Octobers are always so crazy and we were a bit worried we wouldn't actually be able to make it. We decided the best time to do it would be opening day. Since it was a Friday we planned to go as soon as June got off the school bus. That morning we woke up to rain. It rained all morning long and we were panicking a bit.
Thankfully by the afternoon the rain stopped but the weather stayed cool and it was beyond perfect to go to the fair. I'm so glad we did. We had so much fun!
We played all sorts of games
And won all sorts of crapy stuffed animals. The kids thought they were the coolest things ever and continue to still sleep with them. Haha
I go to the fair for one thing and one thing only. The funnel cakes.
We saw this ride and were watching the logs come down, when all of the sudden Owen told us he wanted to ride it. We were very surprised and asked if he was sure. With confidence he walked right up to the log line and him and Dan rode it.
I was very proud of him for being so brave! Thats a scary ride for such a little thing.

Dan was the main attraction man. The kids only wanted him to go on all the rides. Fine by me, I got to stay behind and eat more food! Hahaha
One of the fun house's was full of bubbles. Dan said it was pretty intense in there!
We had so much fun eating, playing games and going on all the rides. I forgot how much fun the fair is. I really thought it was going to be crazy and chaotic but maybe it's because the kids are getting older or we were really in the mood for it, but we had a blast!
