Our 2014 Christmas Newsletter

Happy Holidays Friends and Family!
Us Lancaster's have had a wonderful year. We are grateful for more laughter than tears and blessed spending our day to day lives in Dallas, Texas. We wish to share with you a few moments from our lives that has made 2014 memorable.

Dan: 2014 has been good for Dan. Through all the craziness, he manages to keep a smile on his face.  Dan has kept our lives comfortable and his life busy continuing his work as a Geologist at Pioneer Natural Resources.  When he gets home from work each day, he doesn't miss a beat. Each day, the kiddos greet him with open arms, and he instantly becomes a human jungle gym. June is smitten with him, and they really are best friends, and Owen is happy to have a buddy to wrestle with. Dan tried to get out on the golf course now and then, when he did, it was all about hanging out with his friends, and trying to get a little bit better. Dan was called this year to be the 1st councilor in the Elders Quorum in our Church. He enjoys getting to know members in the ward, and serving those in need.  He seems to be happy and content even though he hit the 30's this year. He keeps us laughing and always finding ways to make life just a little bit better for his family.

Lesli: It seems to have been a pretty good year for Lesli. Holding down the home front, Lesli is tackling this stay at home mom business one kid at a time. She loves her days spent with her children and creating new experiences for the little ones. Her days are kept busy with the daily tasks of motherhood and making sure everyone survives to the next day. When she's not at home playing mom, she is singing her heart out around the community. She participated in an Easter Cantata earlier this spring and has continued on singing throughout the year. Recently she auditioned for the Dallas Millennial Choir and was selected as a 1st Soprano. Lesli has very much enjoyed using her talent and being able to sing in a large choir hall, downtown Dallas. In our Church, earlier this year, she was called to be in the Relief Society, as the Secretary and has really enjoyed it. She loves the women that she works with and loves serving the sisters of her ward.  She is glad to be spending Christmas at home this year, and spending time with her three most favorite people. She has loved 2014, watching her babies grow and learn. She definitely keeps life on the light hearted side of things.

June:  Our little June bug turned three this past October and continues to be our little sweetheart. She is such a wonderful, happy, little spirit, that always keeps a smile on our faces. She started preschool this year and is loving it. She enjoy's being with her little friends, and getting to eat out of her special lunch box. She loves singing and pretending to save people or stuffed animals from evil creatures. June has a very tender little heart and she is so aware of peoples emotions. We love her and the sweetness that she brings into our home.

Owen: The little guy/monster turned one in October as well. He definitely keeps us moving and on our toes. Our handsome little dare devil is into everything, and climbing on anything that will support his weight. He loves tackling anything and truly is all boy. Owen keeps us laughing at the crazy little things that he does. He loves throwing and chasing balls all over the house. He knows how to win over his mama's heart by flashing that dimple smile of his. Owen is our mover and shaker and we love him to the moon.

Ranger: The Range-Dog turned six this year. He is our snuggle buddy and has become very active in the kids lives. He loves playing and chasing toys with them. He still barks at everything. He's small but we definitely know when someone is at the door. We love our little Ranger and he is such a happy little puppy! Love coming home to him each day!

Our Family in General: Our 2014 has not disappointed. We have traveled, enjoyed the sun, the rainy days, and even endured a few Tornado Warnings here and there... Our little family is still very content here in Dallas and we don't see any near future changes. This year we made our way to our first family vacation to Disney World, which opened a whole new level of excitement for a three year old, and us parents as well. The days have been good to us and we feel very blessed for how good the year has been. There is much love and adventures that have kept us content and happy.

We love all of you and hope that your 2014 has been simply wonderful. Enjoy the Season, and remember why we have all that we do. Merry Christmas to all of you!!

Love, The Lancaster's
